Tencell Lyocell
Like Flo consciously chooses certain styles in Tencell Lyocell. This fabric is sustainable and drapes beautifully. It’s not only trendy, but sustainable too. We deliberately chose this material because of its positive footprint. Did you know that no CO2 emissions are produced during manufacturing and that it uses much less water than, for example, cotton production? That’s why these items carry our Smart Choice label.
Recycled material
We care about our planet and select only the best fabrics for our collection. To reduce waste, we use recycled materials for most of our winter coats. The beautiful and durable fabric is preserved. Not only fashionable, but also a smart choice.
Sustainable design
Designer Moniek Veldt: “The textile business, in which clothing is a major component, is one of the most polluting industries in the world, so making it more sustainable is extremely important. There is also a great deal happening in terms of government legislation. That affects the design and creation of the collections - the choice of fabrics and, in fact, the entire process that follows.
“We select materials that are the most sustainable, but that are also flexible and strong, comfortable to wear, and able to withstand washing, because it is still children's clothing. Each season, we want to be able to add more smart choices to our collection.”
Brand Manager Hiske Lohle: Lohle: “When you're visiting suppliers, for example, they may still have some fabrics in the warehouse that fit our collection very well in terms of color, and you immediately start thinking: what can we do with this? - not just to use up the fabric, but what can we make from it that will also become a really cool item?”
